A trip down memory lane....

The middle class Sarkar family of kolkata of west bengal jumped in joy when they had their first male representative of the youngest generation on 24th day of april 1990.14 days later this guy was named ankan.
Unlike the mischievous juniors of today,I was quite different.Mom never had a trouble with me in case of food..The traditions of luving biriyani, kababs, polao, mutton blah blah started from when i started liking cerelac.Ofcourse,I had to love food, being the most heavyweight child of Matri Sadan-where i was born.I guess those days were the most precious ones and most easy too.We didnt had to worry about the differential calculus, organic chemistry or the philospohical agenda dat worried life..
In the year 92-the masti life of the 2 yr old vanished, cause it was the time to memorise ABCD,1234...and cramming it up vomit it in front of neighbours just too boost the superiority complex of parents.I guess, that was the duty of every child, irrespective of their choice to do so.
From my early child hood, sleeping and eating was the only thing i loved to do & wanted to do.So waking up @ 6am just to go to Khelaghar(a play cum educational institute for kids under 3) just to ride toy bikes or learn a-apple,b-bat wasnt my cup of tea.Yet my parents tried their heart n soul to wake me up from sleep.Sometimes,I wondered,Given a chance, whether i could beat Kumbhakarna. After repeated attempts,my parents suceeded in sending me out of home just to recieve Backgears in front of Khelaghar.Backgears meant running around backward towards home. But unfortunately,i wasnt as strong as khali to overpower my dad, neither as sharp as Vishwanathan anand to procure new moves.Owing to my incapabilities in both,i ended up sitting in that yellow coloured room which had animal's,object's picture all over the wall which asscociated with the alphabets.
"your Child is very shy and introvert,he lives in a own world of his, doesnt play with the bikes like others and neither does he mix with the other toddlers." - This used to be my teachers complaint to my parents, whenever they came to pick me up at the end of the day. This Would sound such same and monotonous that i wondered why did'nt they use tape recorders for that and use casettes instead of retelling verbally on every ocassion.Days passed by,months flipped over, but nothing changed. From my sleeping to my backgears to the same words of complaint. But finally it was time to bid farewell to the yellow walls cuase its was tym for me to join school.Even on my last days the teachers gave me so weird looks that provoked me to think whether they thought me to be an alien.
but today i miss dose yellow walls.yes miss it,sometimes very badly, coz dose yellow walls gave me solitude, gave me my space, gave me time, gave me life much different from dese days Robotic life..

  2. As a writing...nice...but as a matter of fact...this is not really "the Ankan"...I know so far....not that I am quite a genius in understanding a person's nature, but this is totally a different Ankan I know so...far.....I swear.....at the end..u hit the reality...yes we are so busy now that we don't really have much time for ourselves.....we are all heading toward tomorrow's busy humdrum.
